Logistics

The logistics processes cover handling of orders from customers (EDI, email, fax), registration in the enterprise resource planning system and continuous tracking. Most of our customers send in orders on a weekly basis, but we are also fully prepared to handle one-off orders.

Customer orders automatically generate – on the basis of parameters set in the system – the materials requirement planning information, which we use for raw materials procurement.

Annually, we process several thousand tons of sheet metal rolls (austenite and ferrite stainless steel materials, carbon steel, pipes etc.)

As a result of an investment made in 2017, raw materials are managed and stored in a hall shared with manufacturing on approximately 1,400 m2 raw material and 600 m2 finished goods storage space. Furthermore, we have at our disposal an approximately 12,000-place (multi-level system) special warehouse within the group for the storage of 1,500 palette of goods and manufacturing equipment. Fork lift trucks (max. capacity 7.5 tons) are used to handle the movement of raw materials and manufacturing equipment and, as a result of the investment rolls up to 20 tonnes can also be moved with cranes.

Full traceability is achieved in compliance with various automotive industry standards within an integrated corporate management system (IFS). We use a barcode-based batch and manufacturing monitoring system, and we also strictly comply with the FIFO principle. In our processes we track the movements of raw materials, semi-finished and finished products between the various warehouse and manufacturing locations.

We make daily, weekly or systematized time slot deliveries according to client demand and automotive industry standards in Hungary and abroad, in cooperation with contracted partners or haulage companies designated by the customer.

EDI system

The integrated enterprise resource planning system supports the receipt and processing of customer orders on EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). In terms of the flexibility of the processing module, it is capable of processing customer orders from standard EDI files (VDA4905) and even from Excel files. A separate agreement is required for special demands, but the system is flexible enough for adapting to handling data according to new or other standards.

Tool management

Owing to the nature of its core activity, the company uses more thousands of press tools, of which 25% are used for the manufacturing of serial components, 75% for the manufacturing of post-serial spare parts. These are stored, by type, in separate warehouses, and each is allocated a location number. The physical movement of tools, and maintenance work are registered directly in the ERP system, which facilitates position identification at any time, the scheduling of maintenance intervals after a predetermined number of units manufactured, and performance of the necessary analyses.
